We did it, you can now manage multiple netool’s cloud data from https://netool.cloud. This service is in beta, we will be adding features as time goes on from our ever growing road map. The current state of netool.cloud is pretty basic but very useful. So lets check it out.
Compatibility Requirements
- netool.io Standard build 72 build and above.
- netool.io Pro build 80 and above.
- netool.cloud enabled and a cloud id.
How to add your cloud ID
- Enable netool.cloud in the settings (sprocket icon) > netool.cloud menu in ether the netool.io Standard or Pro app while you are connected to your netool and the netool is plugged into a port with internet access.
2. Log into your netool.cloud account and then click “+ Add Cloud ID”. Once the popup box appears enter or paste your cloud id into the input field and click “OK”.
3. Your netool data should now show up under the cloud id you have entered within its own datacard.
Adding cloud id using a link
You can add a cloud ID to to your netool.cloud account using a link that has been shared from a user within the netool.cloud settings menu in the netool.io Standard or Pro app.
- To share the cloud ID link, go to the “Settings (Sprocket) > netool.cloud” menu. With netool.cloud enabled and a netool.cloud ID generated tap on the share button shown in the above image.
2. You can send this message using any type of text based means, SMS, Imessage, Android chat, email, ETC.
3. Once you click on the shared link you will see the sub-name match the cloud id that is being shared and a popup message indicating that a cloud id has been detected and asks you if you would like to add it to your account. Click on the message box or the cloud ID its self to add the cloud id to your account.
Synced Tag Discoveries
Requirements
- netool.cloud enabled in app.
- Tag history SYNC enabled in app.
- Cloud ID added to your netool.cloud account.
Tag Discoveries
- Click “Tag Discoveries” within the cloud ID tile in question.
Adding Notes
You can add notes per Tag Discovery. Notes are cloud based only. We are working on the ability to sync notes down to the device and app in a future firmware release.
How to add notes to a Tag Discovery
- Click on “Add Note +”.
- Enter the note you would like to add to this Tag Discovery. This can included hyper links.
3. The note will appear below the main data of the tag discovery in the note section of that Tag discovery card.
Cloud History
Cloud history is just that, history of every time the netool.cloud id gets updated with data that is different then the last time it was updated.
Notes
Same as tag discovery you can add notes to the cloud history entries as well.
How to add notes to a Cloud History entry
- Click on “Add Note +”.
- Enter the note you would like to add to this cloud history entry. This can included hyper links.
3. The note will appear below the main data of the tag discovery in the note section of that Tag discovery card.
Emulator
The emulator is the same implementation as netool.cloud 1.0 but you can open each cloud ID at the same time.
